Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-24
These terms govern your use of Bulk Convert at bulkconvert.io. By using the service you agree to them. The service is operated by Pure Studio (Dirck Mulder), KVK 98665103, BTW NL005345618B56, based in The Netherlands.
1. The service
Bulk Convert converts files between supported formats. Conversions are performed by our processing partner CloudConvert. The free tier allows three conversions per day; paid tiers (Pro, Bulk, API) provide higher limits as described on our pricing page.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Process files you do not own or have permission to convert (including copyrighted material);
- Process illegal content (CSAM, malware, etc.);
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, reverse-engineer the service, or probe for vulnerabilities outside a responsible-disclosure context;
- Resell access to the service without a separate written agreement.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.
3. Accounts & API keys
Paid tiers are identified by an API key delivered to your email after successful payment. You are responsible for keeping the key confidential. If a key is leaked, contact support@bulkconvert.io for rotation.
4. Payment and refunds
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 6:230o BW. By starting your first conversion on a paid plan you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you waive this right for any usage already consumed. The unused portion of the subscription remains refundable within the 14-day window — email support@bulkconvert.io within that window to request a pro-rata refund.
5. Availability and warranties
We aim for high availability but offer no formal uptime guarantee on any tier other than what is published on the pricing page. The service is provided "as is" — we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond the explicit feature descriptions on the website.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data, profit, or goodwill).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for damages that cannot be excluded by mandatory consumer law.
7. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the files you upload and the files you receive as converted output. We claim no ownership over user content. The Bulk Convert name, logo, and code remain our property.
8. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on this page with at least 14 days' notice for paying subscribers. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer law in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
