Why bulkconvert vs. Smallpdf, ILovePDF, Convertio

The big incumbents lock the easy stuff (no watermark, no signup) behind their paid tier and process files in regions you may not want. We don't.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert EPUB to PDF?
Upload your EPUB above, PDF is auto-selected as the target, click Convert. The first 3 EPUB to PDF conversions per day are free with no account. The download URL is valid for 24 hours, then the file is deleted from our servers.
Is converting EPUB to PDF free?
Yes. The free tier covers 3 conversions per day with no signup, no email, no watermark — and that same free quota works against the HTTP API too, so you can grab a free API key without paying. Pro (€9/mo) lifts the daily quota to 100. Bulk (€19/mo) is unlimited through the UI. The API plan (€49/mo) ships 10,000 conversions/month via the HTTP endpoint plus 5 GB max file size.
Do I need to create an account to convert EPUB to PDF?
No. The free tier works without signup or email. If you want to paste an access key for higher limits, you can sign in with a magic link — still no password required.
Where are my files processed and stored?
Conversion happens on EU-hosted infrastructure over HTTPS. Source files are kept only as long as the conversion job needs (seconds). The output is held for 24 hours via a signed URL, then permanently deleted. We never read file contents or share data with third parties.
Will the PDF output be the same quality as the source EPUB?
PDF is a lossy format, so some quality reduction is unavoidable. We optimise for visual or audible fidelity within the format's constraints. For lossless storage of the same content, use the lossless variant.
What's the maximum EPUB file size?
Free: 10 MB. Pro: 100 MB. Bulk: 1 GB. API: 5 GB. Files larger than the tier limit get a 413 response with the exact file size and the smallest tier that would accept it.
Can I convert EPUB to PDF in bulk via API?
Yes. POST to https://bulkconvert.io/api/v1/convert with a Bearer token, a source_url (publicly fetchable), and to:"pdf". The response includes the signed download URL inline plus your monthly usage. Every signed-in user gets a free key with the same 3/day quota as the web UI; upgrade to the API plan when you need more. See /docs/api for the full reference.
Is there a watermark on the PDF output?
No watermark, ever. Even on the free tier the output is a clean PDF file identical to what the paid tiers produce.
Why is EPUB to PDF useful?
EPUB → PDF is a common requirement when moving content between ebook ecosystems.
